Where You Know The Conjuring 3 Star

Sterling Jerins played a major role in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and here’s a guide to her other movie and television roles.

She is best known for her role in The Conjuring franchise, but here’s a guide to Sterling Jerins other movie and TV roles thus far. Jerins made her acting debut with a 2011 episode of comedy-drama Royal Pains, before going on to a recurring role as Lily Bowers in the Meagan Good-fronted thriller series Deception. Jerins’ next role was in the 2013 apocalyptic blockbuster World War Z, playing the youngest child of Brad Pitt’s main character.

Sterling Jerins soon moved from one major horror blockbuster to another, when she was cast as Judy Warren in 2013’s The Conjuring. This James Wan-helmed haunted house movie became a surprise smash hit upon release, and soon spawned an entire shared universe of movies. Other Conjerverse spin-offs – which includes short films – include the Annabelle movies and 2018’s The Nun. Following the original movie, Jerins went on to a string of drama movies, including 2014’s Lullaby – starring Garrett Hedlund and Richard Jenkins – and Rob Reiner’s badly-received And So It Goes.

In 2015 Sterling Jerins played the daughter of Lake Bell and Owen Wilson’s characters in the intense action drama No Escape. In 2016 she reprised her role as Judy in The Conjuring 2 – which was another major success – and played a small role in Jim Jarmusch drama Paterson, starring Adam Driver.

Sterling Jerins Other Acting Roles

2016 was also the year Sterling Jerins joined the cast of the darkly comic drama DivorceHBO series Divorce focused on the bitter split between Sarah Jessica Parker Frances and Thomas Hayden Church’s Frances and Robert, with Jerins playing their teen daughter Lila. The actor was part of the show until it ended after three seasons in 2019. In 2017, she played her first lead in a movie with Daisy Winters. Jerins played the title role, a young girl whose mother – played by Brooke Shields – is battling terminal cancer.

In 2018, Sterling Jerins played a lead role in Boarding School, a bizarre horror movie by director Boaz Yakin (Safe). In 2020, she appeared in a few episodes of drama series Almost Family, which was based on the Australian show Sisters. Jerins most recent credit was once again reprising the role of Judy Warren in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, which arrived in 2021. Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona) took over directing duties from James Wan, with the story based upon – albeit loosely – the real-life murder trial of Arne Johnson. If or when The Conjuring 4 ever happens, Jerins will no doubt return as Judy once more.
